
Telugu Desam Party MLAs from Seemandhra are willing to support the YSR Congress Party to stop division of Andhra Pradesh.

While the ruling Congress party is facing rebellion from within in the Rajya Sabha elections from the State, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi is sitting pretty getting support from unexpected quarters.

Contrary to the assumption that the ongoing session of the state assembly would be the last one, latest reports say that the assembly would have one more session to pass the vote-on-account.

The Congress ministers from Seemandhra region, who have been strongly opposing the high command on the State bifurcation issue, will back the official Congress candidates in the Rajya Sabha elections.

That is the hottest news going around in the state capital. It is being said that CM Kiran Kumar Reddy is contemplating to fast once the ongoing discussion about the Telangana Bill comes to end in the Assembly.

Unperturbed by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy’s effort to move a resolution in the state Assembly to return the Telangana bifurcation Bill, the Centre is all set to present the Bill in the Budget Session of Parliament.

From a long time the Telugu Desam Party has been famous for having a lot of cine glamour in its camp and till sometime back, the film actors used to voluntarily come forward and try their best to give mileage to the party. But now it is heard that many of them are hiding from being spotted by the party.

Telangana Rashtra Samithi Deputy floor leader T Harish Rao on Monday alleged that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu were having a secret pact to stall the formation of Telangana.

According to sources, the top leaders of both the parties are in constant touch to forge an alliance not only for the Rajya Sabha elections, but for the Parliament and Assembly polls scheduled to be held this year.

Hitherto, people have seen MLAs, particularly from the Opposition benches, stormed the Speaker’s podium in the Assembly, squatted there and even uprooted his mike to register their protest on a particular issue.

Notwithstanding the rumours that he is behind the revolt of the Seemandhra MPs and MLAs against the Centre’s decision on the Telangana issue and that he is mobilizing funds for the proposed new party of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, the Congress high command has selected outgoing Rajya Sabha member K V P Ramachandra Rao for a re-nomination to the Upper House.

Lok Satta Party national President and MLA Dr Jayaprakash Narayan requested President Pranab Mukherjee to protect the interests of all Telugu people and the three regions of Andhra Pradesh before recommending introduction of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Bill in Parliament.
